COASTECH – The Urban Island

If you are an Urban Islander, you exist where there is a mix of cultures, lifestyles, and passions. You can be found specifically in the world’s coastal areas and on islands. Every island and coast has another form of an urban island or collective, which may be a more familiar term to you.

Your way of living respects and reflects the nature around you.

In an Urban community, you can meet as strangers and connect seconds later based on your mutual love for food, fashion, literature, politics, and the arts.

The last things on my mind will be age, race, skin color, or any other tired demographic. What will matter is the unity felt in the community

The following are factors that help us identify our prospects for charitable work:

Prayer – Calling

Hurricanes – Natural Disasters

Island States & Coastal Places – People

Supporting Scripture: Mark 10:42-45 ESV

And Jesus called them to him and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

This entails the establishment of a consortium comprising of members from local engineering firms, architectural firms, technology firms, and local academics in coastal geographic research. The primary objective here is to foster coastal sustainability, technology and environmental literacy.
